How to Create a Corsage:

In this blog we will discuss how to create 3 types of corsages out of our sola wood flowers. Wood flowers are the perfect option for creating a lasting keepsake. Moms, grandmothers, prom-goers and more can now keep their sola flower corsages for years to come.

The three types of corsages we will talk about are:

  1. The wristlet

  2. The tie-on

  3. The pin-on

How to create a sola wood flower wristlet corsage:

Supplies Needed:

  • Wristlet base such as these from amazon: Option 1 or Option 2

  • 3 to 5 sola flowers sizes 1 inch, 1.5 inch and 2 inch in size

  • Leafy green

  • Wispy green

  • Added fillers (can have color)

 

 

Step 1: Hot glue the leafy greens down to the base

Step 2: Hot glue the wood flowers down

Step 3: Add the wispy greens between flowers where gaps may be

Step 4: Add your extra special or colored fillers in the gaps

 

 

How to create a sola wood flower tie-on corsage:

Supplies Needed:

  • Stretch lace or ribbon from 1.5 to 2 inches in thickness

  • 3 to 5 sola flowers sizes 1 inch, 1.5 inch and 2 inch in size

  • Leafy green

  • Wispy green

  • Added fillers (can have color)

 

Step 1: Use a piece of burlap, felt, or thicker stiff ribbon to make a square in the middle of your lace or ribbon

Step 2: Hot glue the leafy greens down to the square

Step 3: Hot glue the wood flowers down

Step 3: Add the wispy greens between flowers where gaps may be

Step 4: Add your extra special or colored fillers in the gaps

 

 

How to create a sola wood flower pin-on corsage:

Supplies Needed:

  • Wristlet base such as these from amazon

  • 3 to 5 sola flowers sizes 1 inch, 1.5 inch and 2 inch in size

  • Leafy green

  • Wispy green

  • Added fillers (can have color)

 

Step 1: Cut off the elastic band so just the base plate remains

Step 2: Hot glue the leafy greens down to the square

Step 3: Hot glue the wood flowers down

Step 3: Add the wispy greens between flowers where gaps may be

Step 4: Add your extra special or colored fillers in the gaps

Step 5: Add a magnet or a straight back safety pin to the back of the base plate
